Oscar Araripe Studio

With almost a hundred exhibitions, Oscar Araripe has renewed the art of painting not only trough his brush stroke and original colors, spontaneous and unusual, but also the materials he uses synthetic canvas and tubular structures as frames and supports allowing him permanent showing facilities outdoors for the public at large.

His landscapes, flora, animals, erotic's as well as his envisioned transcriptions of Brazilian rock drawing have caught the attention of such high regarded critics in both media and cultural circles as Frederico Moraes, Jean Boghici, Alberto Beuttenmuller, Palhares and many more.

Invited to inaugurate new show places for painting Oscar Araripe exhibited his work in the Villa Lobos Room of the National Theater in Brasilia in 1991 and the following year at Ipanema Beach , Rio de Janeiro, his particularly original ecological tribute,

With his billboard exhibitions, using synthetic canvas he shows that he has met the challenge of taking art straight through the multitudes.
