Museu Paulista (Museu do Ipiranga)

The oldest museum in the city is an architectural landmark in Independence Park. It was opened in 1890 as a monument to the country's independence and was transformed into a museum five years later.

The São Paulo Museum is a scientific, cultural and educational institution .The museum is a store house of information and also provides an insight into history.

The São Paulo Museum is specialized in the study of the material aspects of the organization of the Brazilian society as three basic lines of research: Daily and Society
