The Butantan Institute is a center of biomedical research, tied with the State secretary of the Health of São Paulo.
Its mission is to develop studies and basic research in the area of Biology and Biomedicina, related directly or indirectly, with public health.
One of the tourist attractions of São Paulo, the Butantan has 3 museums and a gorgeous park.
Established in 23 of February of 1901, as Serumtherapico Institute it takes you on a fascinating journey through unfamiliar territory.
