Kabuki Mask Restaurant and Night life

If you are looking for a venue to go for a romantic date this is the place to frequent. This is a nice restaurant with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. It transports you to exotic Japan. The décor is not traditionally Japanese, containing two large sushi- bars, and usually a live band playing Jazz. The food, however, is traditional - sushi, sashimi, robata, teppan- yaki,
yakissoba.

Kabuki Mask, in the Vila Madalena nightlife zone, avoids such culinary excesses (though the live music is usually western- influenced, such as a light jazz saxophonist who sometimes does a turn here).

All their cuisine tastes good but the shitake mushrooms and the mixed tempura are all time favorites (seafood and vegetables fried in light batter). Lit by candles, the romantic atmosphere makes this place popular among couples who can enjoy each others company without being disturbed.
