Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo (Film Festival)

A major film festival that takes place in several of the city's cinemas (MASP, MIS, Centro Cultural de Sao Paulo, Cine Vitrine, Cinearte, Cinesesc and Cinemateca de Sao Paulo. The work of many world- famous directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Peter Cohen, and Wim Wenders to name a few, were first screened at this event.

The 30th São Paulo International Film Festival is scheduled to take place between October 20 and November 2, 2006.

Brazilian feature films, both fiction and documentaries, in the selection of the 30th Festival, will run for the ‘Petrobras Cultural Award in the São Paulo International Film Festival.

São Paulo International Film Festival brings to the Brazilian public a selection of the best films of world cinema.

Homage to great cinema's names such as Manoel de Oliveira, Roberto Rossellini and Victor Sjöström is paid at the festival.

São Paulo International Film Festival also brings to Brazil an exclusive and unprecedented retrospective of the Swedish Victor Sjöström.
