Mix Brasil- Festival of Sexual Diversity

As the name suggests this festival caters to the lesbians, gays and transsexual and others of their ilk. It recognizes the diversity of the human race and the right of each individual to be different from each other.

This event is held every year in November to celebrate the curious culture of Latin America. It is a journey that begins in São Paulo and then tours all of Latin America.

The festival has arrived in North Brazil for the first time. The festival attracts a huge crowd who believe in sexual freedom and the right of each individual to choose his or her way of life.

It celebrates queer life and culture. Two sessions of videos and performances showcase sexual diversity. The public one was composed for children, adolescents and adults.

Many films are shown here such as “The Law of the Desire”
or “Women to the side of an attack of nerves” which showcase the Queer culture of Brazil and highlight their lifestyle and problems.
