Anima Mundi

This International Animation Festival of Brazil is one of the biggest animation events in Latin America and is held in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. There is an animation studio open to the public where you can participate in the internet animation competition.

The 14th International Animation Festival, Anima Mundi 2006 took place in Rio de Janeiro from July 14th to 23rd and in São Paulo from July 26th to 30th

It hosts International Internet Animation Contest, and International Mobile Phone Animation Contest of ANIMA MUNDI Festival.

ANIMA ESCOLA (Anima School) is a project to introduce the use of animation in Brazilian schools. The origins of this project are the Festival's Open Studios, which inspired the Anima Mundi professionals to create a special program.

ANIMA ESCOLA activities are being continuously held since 2002 in public schools of Rio de Janeiro. Now, with the support of IBM Brazil, technological infra- structure will be installed with the help of custom designed animation software in Linux.
