The Bienal de Silo Paulo is the world's second largest exhibition program of its kind.
Located within 82,000 square feet of Oscar Niemeyer's modernist pavilion in Sao Paulo's Ibirapuera Park, the works of participating artists were classified in the glittering glass- walled building.
More than 1 million people visit the Bienal to view exhibitions which feature young foreign artists. In 2002, it received 670,000 visitors who really appreciated contemporary art in all its varied styles.
Almost 30,000 square meters of “Free Territory” is given where each artist can express himself without any limitation free to express his creativity. The objective is to provide a venue for international artistic and cultural exchange.
Manoel Francisco Pires of the Coast, president of the Biennial strives to make art accessible to all. The museum attracts many art lovers from all over the world who visit this museum to feast their eyes on artistic masterpieces.
